This cozy coffee shop is certain to start your day right!

There are so many great things about this quaint little coffee shop. First, let me just say that starting a family travel day out with a hot latte in hand is the only way for me! So, I'm happy to share the best coffee shops I've found along the way. My daily indulgence is a part of what fuels me on our many family travel adventures!

Essence of Coffee really is an excellent coffee shop. Their food and specialty coffees are all of the highest quality. This Aussie father-son duo set out with the goal in mind of using only the finest quality coffee beans and offering great service in a casual environment. The result is a laid-back spot to enjoy a really great cup of joe and bite to eat. It's a great combination for families on the go. The shop also offers pre-ordering, either on the app or by phone, so that tasty cup of coffee can be all yours, in a South Dakota, I mean a New York minute. I do highly recommend ordering ahead, especially if you're in a grab and go situation like we were, where your goal was to fuel your outdoorsy Black Hills dreams as quickly as possible.

I found the service here to be phenomenal, and the coffee to be just as wonderful. The parking was street parking, but there were plenty of spots and they weren't metered, so it worked out just fine for us. The location is very central to not only the local hotels if you're staying from out of town, but also to make a quick beeline to all the glorious outdoor adventures this area has to offer.

After grabbing your tasty cup of joe and a bite on the go, I recommend heading for the Black Hills and all sorts of beautiful outdoor adventures!
