Esther Simplot Park has ponds for fishing, paddle boarding, swimming and building sandcastles with the coolest nature-inspired playground.

Esther Simplot Park has lots to offer with rocks, hollow logs and obstacles for all aged children inspired by nature. One of the key features of the park is a “meandering stream” that connects the park’s two other ponds with Quinn’s Pond creating a great area to paddleboard and kayak. It's very fun to bring the whole family down for a beach day since there are two areas with sand, so bring your umbrella, sand toys and blankets. The playground has a cool slide that is built into the rocks and colored poles for the kids to climb. The park boasts lots of area to run around, climb on rocks and the entire park has tons of pathways for bike riding, scooters, running and walking. Active families can rent paddleboards and other water sports gear at Idaho River Sports at the park.

Idaho River Sports has many options when planning to rent gear to enjoy a day on the water at Simplot Park. They have Inflatable Stand up paddleboards, canoe & kayak Rentals and offer hourly rates starting at $25 or for the full day for $40. We like to call to reserve ahead of time to be sure we get exactly what we are looking for. Bringing your own gear? The parking is close to the launching sites and very easy to access.

You will need to come prepared when visiting this awesome spot on the Boise river so remember bathing suits, towels, sunscreen, and bring the bikes, strollers, scooters - bring it all for a long fun-filled day!
