Filomena in Georgetown is an experience in itself.

They decorate for every holiday in the most unique and over the top way. As an example, during Easter, they probably have 1,000 bunnies and a tree decorated across every inch with Easter flare. The Christmas season brings the same energy and festive cheer.

For a fancy, white-tablecloth restaurant, they are surprisingly wonderful with kids. Every delicious, authentic Italian food option is offered in smaller portions for kids. They have great family-style servings too. For that reason, Filomena is the perfect splurge for a family night out because it will never feel like a waste of money. They are one of a rare breed that welcomes the family-friendly label and really means it.

The restaurant is located in the heart of Georgetown, with a paid lot across the street. For obvious reasons, it can be busy during the prime holiday season, so reservations are recommended.

Georgetown has lots to do before or after your meal. Georgetown Cupcake is only a five-minute walk and is a great sweet treat for after your Italian dinner. Rose Park Rec Center is about a fifteen-minute walk away and is a good place to stop and play if you have some time to kill before your reservation.
