Don't let the friendly baristas fool you...when it comes to coffee, this place doesn't mess around!

Five Watt Coffee is an awesome, independent coffee shop in the Kingfield neighborhood of Minneapolis. Located really close to some of the most beautiful parks and trails in Minneapolis, including Lake Nokomis, Lyndale Farmstead Park, and Minnehaha Regional Park, this is a prime location. The location of this coffee shop is ideal...it's right in the heart of South Minneapolis, "the big city" as the kids call it. We don't often head into the big city, so each time is totally a thrill for them. It doesn't take much to get this crew excited!

That being said, this place also offers a really great cup of coffee...there's no doubt about that. The prices aren't the cheapest in town, but you also know that, here, you're going to get a really great quality, really strong cup of coffee. If you're a busy parent or caregiver looking to power up your day, this place will do it for you.

Not only is the coffee hot and good, but it's also really unique. Their award-winning coffee menu is anything but ordinary. With specialty coffees from The Pollinator (Honey-Lavender Syrup, Cardamom Bitters, Espresso, Milk), The Busy Beaver (Maple Syrup, Blackstrap Bitters, Espresso, Milk, Cinnamon, Molasses, Black Pepper), to the Gin Basil Smash (Nitro Cold Press, Basil Syrup, Five Watt Gin Bitters, Cream). If you like to get crazy and try out different coffee drinks, this may be just the place for you. Their hot cocoa is also out of this world, so you can make the kiddos happy with this stop, too!

After fueling up for your day, head over to the wonderful Lyndale Farmstead Park for some playtime!
