Combining two great sports - soccer and golf - at Disney World Orlando's Oak Trail Golf Course, you'll end up with new, unexpected fun!

Want to try your hand at golf, but want it at a different pace? Try out FootGolf! And yes, it is exactly as it sounds.

On certain days of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) after 2:30pm, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course changes one of their courses into a venue for footgolf. The course is nine holes, takes up to an hour and a half, and is fun for the whole family, not just the golf or soccer aficionados.

Upon arrival, you'll follow signs to the resort Shades of Green, located on-site at Walt Disney World, near the collection of hotels that line the Magic Kingdom. You'll check in with the guard gate and verify that you have a reservation and they will direct you to the park. You will then head to the gift shop to check-in for your afternoon of golf and get a quick briefing of what to expect. No need to rent a golf cart for this, as the course is very walkable  And if anything, you will spend more time chasing your ball on foot!

Once checked in, you will meet your guide at the first hole. The guide will give you a walking instruction of the first hole and a trial run as you wait your turn to proceed. Each member of your party will be given a designated ball and you will, like soccer, kick the ball into the oversized golf course holes. The same rules as golf apply, the lower the number of kicks the better. But your pars are a lot different than golf - and so is the whole experience. It gives the soccer players in your family a chance to tune up their skills but also allows them a preview into a world of golf that only some family members may know.

Just note, this activity does run rain or shine (except in the case of lightning), so be prepared if the weather does shift with ponchos or umbrellas. If the weather is too severe to play, check with the course on what to expect instead!

Need a bite to eat? Look for refreshment carts while out on the green. Or stop by Chip 'n Dale's Deli and outdoor patio for a pre-or post- bite to eat!
