Fort Greene Park is a true neighborhood gem filled with gorgeously tall trees and natural beauty in the middle of the bustling and hip neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Often referred to as a "mini-Central Park", Fort Greene Park has beautiful walking paths, two playgrounds, a nature center, and the Prison Ship Martyrs Monument (100 granite steps up!) in the center of the park. Let the children run and play, race them up the stairs, visit the bugs in the nature center, or have a picnic.

Renee was born in rural Maine and spent her childhood days playing in the woods and tending to her family's farm animals and large garden. She's spent the last 20 years far from her rural roots, living in large cities both in the US and abroad. Her family -- including her two daughters, age 6 and 10 -- just recently located to Brooklyn, New York after spending two years living abroad in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Renee looks forward to exploring and discovering all of the active, family-friendly activities that Brooklyn has to offer!
