A historic, interactive park for all ages conveniently located just two blocks from the Liberty Bell!

Franklin Square is located at 200 N 6th Street (7th and Race Street)  in Philadelphia. Franklin Square Park is about six blocks from the heart of Old City Shopping (about a 15 min walk) and just two blocks from the Liberty Bell.

Almost like a mini amusement park, it’s centered around a beautiful 180-year-old fountain. It has a carousel, a massive fenced-in playground for ages 2-5 on one side and 5-12 on the other and a one-of-a-kind 18-hole Philadelphia themed mini-golf course. No need to pack a lunch, SquareBurger serves burgers, hot dogs, and milkshakes year-round. There are plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your Square Burgers or your packed lunch/snacks.

Franklin Square is free to enjoy, though tickets are needed for the Carousel and Mini Golf (pricing below). While the kids have their fun, adults can enjoy cocktails and local brews at the onsite beer garden, The Franklin.

Enjoy the water show at the fountain starting in April through the summer, featuring dancing water effects and colored lights choreographed to music. During the winter months starting at sunset enjoy the holiday light show through February.

Take part in Franklin’s Key Challenge:

In honor of Benjamin Franklin, who the park was named after -  there are 12 keys hidden through the square. Find all 12 and receive a prize. You can pick up the Scavenger Hunt form at the Square or print it at home from the website. Bring the form to the ticket window to claim your prize.

Pricing for Activities:

Mini Golf: $10 Adults, $8 Kids, under 2 free

Carousel: $3 per person, kids under 2 free

Parking isn’t ideal. Paid 2-hour street parking surrounds the park, but you can refill the meter on the MeterUp app during your visit. The park has easy stroller access, picnic tables, lots of shade, and restrooms.
