Spend the Afternoon Playing at the Charming Freedom Ridge Playground
Freedom Ridge Park comprises 50-acres just behind the Ridgeland Police Department. There is a large playground area with a section for older and younger children. The section for the younger children has a shaded tarp for protections. In addition to the playground equipment, there are four lighted adult regulation softball fields, four lighted regulation soccer fields, four picnic pavilions, two concession/restroom buildings, a lighted walking trail and a maintenance facility. You can bring your riding toys - bikes and scooters - to enjoy the walking trail.
Note: Pavilions 1, 2 and 3 at Freedom Ridge Park are available for rent; $75 for residents and $100 for non-residents. There is no deposit but, for exclusive use of the pavilion, you must reserve it in advance.
