French Broad River Park is a wonderfully family-friendly and bike-friendly park!
 

The French Broad River Park is 1 of 3 sections of the Greenway (for now!), the other 2 being Carrier Park and the Hominy River Park. This section of the Greenway includes both paved and dirt paths in a loop to complete the greenway path. Carrier Park is a nice mile walk from the River Park, with the majority of the walk being beside the river. It's an awesome location to bring your bikes to and enjoy a nice family ride on a wide path. This section is also tends to be the muddiest so be prepared to get a little dirty if there has been recent rain, especially if the river has recently come out of its banks. 

Another reason this park is a local favorite is its abundance of perfect hammock trees! Bring your eno and a book and sling up for the afternoon while the kids ride bikes or play frisbee in the fields! There is a large dog park that is always filled with fun loving pups if yours is along for the day, and river access for tubers.

Bathrooms are located by the parking area and there is also a picnic pavilon with grills.
