Beautiful Art Museum with Kid-Friendly Educational Space

It was colder today and so we headed to the Frist to see an Eric Carle (author / illustrator of "The Hungry Catapillar") at the Frist (November 2019).  There are changing exhibits but they are consistently high calibur.  I was reminded of how wonderful it is to roam with your kids in a kid-friendly, colorful space.

The highlight, however, for our family was the Martin ArtQuest creation space upstairs.  This kids' art section looks on the smaller side but once you enter you realize they have packed a lot into the space.  The exhibits are immersive and kids spend a lot of time at each one.  Prepare to paint, create, and draw!  You can even make a mini-movie.  Or play on a giant light-brite wall.  The space and exhibits are probably best for ages 5 and up but younger kids can enjoy too.

Year family membership ($75 / family) is a great deal too.

The Frist Art Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, 12/25, and New Year's Day. The museum will close at 3:00 p.m. on December 25.
