Funland in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

After spending many summers visiting the resort towns on the eastern shore of Maryland and Delaware, I can say without a doubt that Funland in Rehoboth is my favorite place for rides and games. Seriously, if you have got kids under the age of 7, you’re not going to do much better than Funland.

What we love about Funland is that they offer a great selection of rides for little kids and the prices are fantastic. Little kid rides cost anywhere from 1-3 tickets and you can get a book of 50 tickets for $18. That lets you ride the fire trucks, boats, swings, motorcycles, and more around 25 times for just $18!

While about half of the space is taken up with rides for little kids, older kids will be able to take advantage of more thrilling rides such as a pirate ship, gravitron, spinning daisies and more.

Funland also offers a variety of carnival games, including many that guarantee a prize for younger kids. (If you’re looking for an even bigger selection of arcade games that are great for little kids, we recommend checking out Shore Fun in Bethany Beach!)

The other great thing about Funland is that it is almost all under cover. Some of the rides made for bigger kids are open air, but all of the rides that are built for the under 6 crowd are covered by a roof. That means that Funland is shaded from the hot sun and a totally viable option on rainy days!

Funland has become a mainstay of our family beach trips and we can’t recommend it enough to families with young kids that will be spending any time in the area! (If the kids get too hungry and you need a family friendly food option, The Green Turtle is just a quick walk away!)

Our work in Baltimore is truly a family affair. Husband and wife, Matt and Katie, work together to head up our ambassador team in Charm City. Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador. Matt and Katie have two girls, ages 5 and 7. They spend their weekends camping, hiking, or exploring other hidden gems in their area. Tap into their insider knowledge by downloading the app today!
