Need to get some work done or just enjoy a fresh juice or cup of coffee in relative peace, but want to provide some educational fun for your toddler? Then look no further than Good Day Play Cafe, an indoor kid-friendly cafe and juice bar in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

The fully enclosed play area includes an angled climbing wall, slides, a ball pit, some imaginative play areas, a cypress wood cube pit (like a sand pit, but oh so much cleaner), and all sorts of sensory play activities in a fully matted area for the youngest ones. Parents are encouraged to join their little ones in the play space if age requires, or they can let them play independently while they sit in the cafe area. The cafe encourages children under 6 years of age only.

When I was there on a recent weekday afternoon, the place was relatively quiet except for one caregiver playing with a toddler inside the play area and two guardians working on their laptops with coffee in the cafe while their preschool age children played.

There is an hourly charge per child of $12 (or $18/2 hours and $24/3+ hours), with a sibling discount of $3. Babies under 8 months of age are free as long as guardians purchase a drink from the menu.
