Urban Farm with Seasonal Activities

There are a million reasons to visit Green Door Gourmet, which is a treasure of a farm that is super close to Downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. Located on 350 acres, the farm features a lovely and newly-renovated market on property full of yummy treasures (including grass-fed meats, honey, jams, dairy, baked goods, and more). And there's always tons of seasonal events going on – think fall festival, strawberry picking, the works! They even host yoga classes, for adults and kids, fairly regularly (check schedules).  The farm grows a ton of fruits, flowers, vegetables, and herbs and offer Local Farm Box and flower subscriptions too!

​The property itself is beautiful – it hosts weddings, educational field trips, farm-to-table dinners, and even corporate events. (My personal favorite is the rustic but elegant main barn building.) Make sure you check the calendar to see their latest events. My family has been to a number of events out there, but we especially enjoy the fall festival with its petting zoo, farm games, corn kernel troughs, slides, and a hay bale maze. Tons of food trucks come to most of their events and there was even a fun band my kids enjoyed dancing to while my husband and I sat and enjoyed a beer while watching.
