A Community Park in Smithville with a Massive Wooden Play Area.

Greenbrook Park, in the heart of Smithville, is a great stop if you are in the area.  The wooden playground (no plastic!) structures are HUGE, contained by a fence, and fun for a wide variety of ages.  There are climbing structures, swings, and bridges galore.  It is set up like a town, with local businesses sponsoring each section.  The grounds around are nice and green with a creek running through and a walking path (walking only! no bikes, etc).  It's a great stop if you are in the area and the little ones are looking to stretch their legs.

There are plenty of picnic tables (with covered shelter).

Note: Greenbrook Park does not have an actual address. There are 2 entrances. One is on College St. the other is across the road from NHC Nursing Home (825 Fisher Ave.)
