Haverford Reserve is an open space recreation center with 5 miles of trails of different difficulty levels, an education center with restrooms, wheelchair accessible Freedom Park playground, enclosed dog park, and various sports fields.

Numerous hiking paths are clearly marked and meander between flat, hilly, muddy, and rocky. Little ones will enjoy navigating and discovering creeks and bridges throughout the meadow. Rugged shoes recommended with a sense of adventure - if you get turned around, we recommend using the education center as your consistent marker as remains mostly visible from various points.

Head over to Freedom Playground before or after your hike for a snack/lunch plus more playtime. Ramps make this playground wheelchair accessible. Philly-themed road signs and towers adorn this fun space. We were excited about the tire swings and many ways to engage/climb.

The Haverford Recreation & Environmental Education Center has public restrooms and offers community programming throughout the year.
