Hilloway Park offers an entrance to a gorgeous trail system!

Hilloway Park provides a gorgeous trail system for any outdoor enthusiast. One huge plus to this trail location is the fact that it's just down the road from major shops, restaurants, and services. So, while these trails feel like they're out in the middle of nowhere, you're just down the street from all sorts of delicious food, coffee, and shops. I love this about this park, plus it's helpful for families road-tripping through the area. We all know that every now and then, you realize something you'd forgotten or something you could use for your road trip.

Hilloway Park Trails are a part of a major system of trails in the area. The City of Minnetonka offers over 90 miles of walking and biking trails! And many of them are incredibly scenic in all seasons. Most of them are within a short distance to commercial centers, though they feel out of the way. More than 20% of the city's area is made up of wetlands and lakes, so as you follow the trails, you're likely never far from a beautiful peek at a river, stream, or lake. This trail is not paved and is of natural groundcover, so wear comfortable shoes, and leave the stroller at home, unless you like to off-road with yours! From Hilloway Park Trails, you can connect to the larger Minnetonka trail system, and this is a great spot to jump on the trail. Bring your snowshoes in winter, or hiking shoes in all seasons.

The views in Hilloway Park will have you immediately feeling the beauty of nature around you. I know we were totally relaxed by the scenic views here. After you've enjoyed your time in nature, head over to Yo Yo Donuts in Minnetonka for a special treat.
