Honeygo Run Park in White Marsh, MD has it all!

At roughly 150-acres, Honeygo Run offers a variety of ball fields including soccer, baseball, football, and even roller hockey. Visitors will also find a large playground with equipment for both older and younger children, and families with a pooch can register and take advantage of Perry Paw Dog Park

If you’re looking to get some exercise, you can walk, run, or bike the .7 mile, paved loop that runs around the perimeter of the park – a perfect place for stroller running. For off-roading options, runners can take advantage of the two miles (approximately) of nature trails that snake through the woods at the southern end of the park. (Follow the paved loop around to the back of the park and you’ll see the trailhead at the forest’s edge behind the fenced football field.) Part of the trail provides access to a stream that little ones will most definitely want to dip their toes in. The nature trails are generally easy hikes, but you will find that the path has lots of tree roots and may not be suitable for a running stroller.

The park has a couple of covered pavilions with picnic tables as well as trash cans throughout. The Honeygo Run Recreation Center is also on the premises and provides a bathroom during most daylight hours. (Access the bathrooms through the door at the rear of the building.)

The park is used for regional youth baseball, football, and soccer so it can get busy on game days, but there is a large parking lot that can typically accommodate all potential visitors. Overall, Honeygo Run is a great stop for a day of outdoor fun!

Our work in Baltimore is truly a family affair. Husband and wife, Matt and Katie, work together to head up our ambassador team in Charm City. Katie is a Maryland native and has lived in the state her whole life. She moved to Baltimore in 2007 after graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. She has been working in the field of early childhood education as a teacher and family coach for the past 12 years. Katie also holds a Masters of Education in Literacy from Loyola University. She is passionate about giving kids and families the knowledge and tools that they need to thrive. Matt grew up in the Highlandtown neighborhood of Baltimore. As a city native, Matt is a great resource on all that the city has to offer. After months of helping Katie explore the city for her role at a Happy Active Family, he decided to put his love of writing to use and officially come on board as an ambassador. Matt and Katie have two girls, ages 5 and 7. They spend their weekends camping, hiking, or exploring other hidden gems in their area. Tap into their insider knowledge by downloading the app today!
