great family brunch
Husk opened in Savannah in 2018 and, having eaten at the Nashville location, gave it a try in Savannah for a Sunday morning brunch. It’s located near Chippewa Square right downtown and is located in an older multi-story house (similar feel to the Nashville location). Like its sister restaurants, it sources from near by Southern farms, so you are sure to get exquisite produce and dairy (notice the board of farms directly behind the hostess station). Though it was Sunday brunch (by the way – one of the few places we could find for a 10am Sunday brunch), the vibe was casual, and we wore flip flops and shorts. We sat on the side porch at a four-top that overlooked the sidewalk. The waitstaff couldn’t have been nicer or more patient with our children (5 and 3 years old) and while there is no specific children’s menu, we ordered side items for the girls (~$6) which was perfect: French toast and bacon (the ‘side’ of bacon had 5 HUGE cuts). My husband and I had the everything bagel and the eggs benedict. We didn’t wait long, and everything was delicious.
