An amazing adventure for families with a well-known whale watching tour company.

One of the first things that come to mind in terms of wildlife in the Pacific Northwest are, of course, whales! Sometimes if you keep an eye on the Orca Report (a site that updates every day with local whale sightings) you’ll be lucky enough to spot one from shore. But if you want guaranteed whale sightings you’ll want to get out on a boat.

When you go on an Island Adventure tour you are 100% guaranteed to see a whale, or you’ll get another trip for free. They usually have great specials going on for group tickets, so make sure to check around online before you go. They also leave from three different locations, so keep that in mind when planning your adventure!

The boat itself is spacious, and they don’t try to cram too many passengers on at one time. The staff is very friendly and excited to answer any questions you may have about the local ecosystem or animals you may spot on your trip. Onboard are multiple bathrooms, and even a little store in the front of the boat where you can get snacks, and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Unfortunately, Orca sightings are becoming less frequent as their population decreases, but depending on the time of year you might also see Grey Whales, Seals, Sea Lions, and Bald Eagles! This is truly an experience everyone can get excited about while connecting with the environment around them.
