A great cafe with many food and drink options and spacious outdoor seating

A 3-minute drive down the road from Kenneth Hahn Park and close to Westside Neighborhood Park is Jackson’s cafe. A local cafe with a super friendly staff and spacious outdoor seating, not to mention, delicious food and coffee! They have many easy to order menu options as well as a checklist option to create your own salad or sandwich. This spot is sure to appeal to the whole fam (including picky eaters). Their best seller for a cold sandwich is the Italian sub and for a hot sandwich, it’s the Reuben. The coffee menu includes all your standard lattes as well as milk alternatives for my fellow dairy-free friends. And smoothies! If you're in a hurry, they have ready-made containers of potato salad, pasta salad, etc.

The atmosphere is relaxed, with chill music and plenty of space to have a quiet corner to yourself and get some work done or laugh loudly without worrying about disturbing your neighbor. Check out their in-house hummus for sale before you leave!

There are restrooms in the back, however, there is no changing table.

Hannah Menakaya
Hannah Menakaya grew up in New Hampshire, eventually leaving to go to school in DC at Georgetown University. She developed her passion for traveling when she spent a semester abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. While there she explored the beautiful landscape and wildlife of the country and ventured into neighboring countries such as Botswana and Zimbabwe. Upon graduation, Hannah spent a year teaching English in Spain and traveling whenever she could. The highlight of her jet setting career was living on a boat in Mykonos, Greece, and sleeping in the Sahara desert in Morocco. Since then, Hannah landed in Los Angeles where she pursues her ultimate passion - storytelling. While she seeks to tell stories from those in the margins, she finds time to get outside and remember the serenity of nature amidst the Hollywood hustle. Feeling the sand, seeing the birds, and listening to the waves are her ideas of balance and harmony. If you ask her, she’s a professional wellness seeker, smoothie bowl artista and part-mermaid… but according to LinkedIn, she works for the production company that made Queer Eye.
