30 minutes north of Charlotte on Lake Norman, Jetton Park is set on 104 acres right on the lake. Very popular outing for families to get out of the city and onto Charlotte’s favorite lake. The playground is tucked in the shade so really nice. There is a 1.3 mile beginner mountain bike trail (https://www.mecknc.gov/ParkandRec/Parks/ParksByRegion/Documents/Jetton11x17Map072507.pdf), that is family friendly. There is a sunning beach (no swimming) for playing, picnics and sunning.
Don’t forget to bring:
-comfortable shoes – water and land – for hiking and playing
-bikes/helmets – your kids are going to want to ride bikes for sure.
-snacks/picnic lunch – you can easily spend your entire day here.
-hats/sunglasses/sunscreen/bug spray
