Texas is hot in the summer. Cool off with a refreshing smoothie or juice from Juiceland. The local chain can be found all over Austin, but the Cesar Chavez location is convenient on the east side. Order at the window and take it to go. 

We like to sip our Strawberry Mylkshakes and Morning Sunshines at the Boggy Creek Greenbelt. Park at the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center and enjoy the park’s shaded, grassy areas. A short trail runs through the park and will keep you fairly protected from the direct sun. It is perfect for strollers, bikes, and walkers.

Take a five-minute drive over to Eastside Succulents to peruse their unique selection and get some fresh air or make your way over to Boggy Creek Farm for some history merged with nature. If you want to wade in the water at Secret Beach, head to Roy Guerrero Park.
