This friendly neighborhood park has everything you need for a great family pitstop!

Let's just say, for the record, it's not every park that makes my kids squeal with delight the second we pull up, but they certainly did at Junction Park! This park is really conveniently located, though you don't necessarily notice it from the main road unless you're looking for a park.

This park is ideal in that it has several great features, including a great playground area, connections to local walking and biking trails, as well as a picnic area and shelter. The playground area had plenty of options to keep my kiddos entertained, and happy, even asking to stay for more time to play. The kids enjoyed the monkey bars, climbing, bridges, tunnels, twisty pole, bouncy animals, and balance beams. They also adored that there was a tire swing at this park, which is always a huge hit! All three of us had a blast on the triple slide, which was our very favorite feature of the park. I raced the kids down the slide several times, and it was always a fantastic ride trying to outrace each other! If tennis is your game, be sure to bring those racquets, as this park has great tennis courts, as well.

Another feature I really liked about this park is the fact that much of the park is ADA accessible, which is a wonderful feature for families. The accessible areas include the off-street parking, picnic area and shelter, playground equipment, and walking and biking trails. The park is located down a small hill, with accessibility down either a small flight of stairs or just down the small hill itself.

This park, playground, and trail system is a hit for all ages. After you enjoy some playful family time at Junction Park, head over to nearby Munkabeans Coffeehouse for a frothy latte or a meal for the whole family!
