Tubular Fun at King Tubes: Winter Outdoors Activity you'll want to come back to Again and Again

In search of a unique and unforgettable opportunity to have some family-friendly fun outside? Channel your inner child with your little one at King Tubes. Take advantage of the snow and magical hills in Jackson with this inexpensive seasonal outing.

There’s nothing that will bring you back to childhood quite like the feeling of hopping on your sled at the top of a snowy hill and tipping yourself forward. King Tubes gives you the opportunity to bring your children that same joy, safely. With a rope tow and air-filled tubes with handles, they take the fear and hard work out of the pastime, leaving only fun to be had and a craving for more. Right at the base of Snow King, you can watch the skiers race down the mountain while you wait for your turn keeping everyone entertained when there is a line. It's also a great change of pace when kids need a break from learning to ski or snowboard. With three lanes for everyone to choose from, there are also plenty of chances for your squad to get competitive too. Don’t miss your chance to tube the King!

An hour is plenty of time to get the most out of this activity, but if you choose to add another, it’s only $5 more per person. There is a height restriction of 42 inches (3.5 feet) and only one person per tube is allowed; no exceptions. Don’t forget to wear warm layers and double-check that they are open before you go, because the hours can be funky.

Emily Coleman
Emily Coleman is a Jersey girl born and raised who caught the outdoor bug upon moving to Vermont to pursue a degree in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College. She spent most of her years before college deeply entrenched in the world of competitive cheerleading before discovering a passion for outdoor sports including mountain biking, white water kayaking, bikepacking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, and skiing. Having been surrounded by children her entire life in her mother's daycare, she always had a strong affinity for kids. She moved to the mountains of Jackson Hole after graduating to coach for the local Kayak Club during the summers and nanny in the winters. Becoming a part of the Happy Active Family team felt like the perfect collision of her passion for building strong community bonds and encouraging an outdoor lifestyle.
