Kingfisher Trail

11901 Pinnacle Valley Road

Kingfisher Trail is a half-mile, paved loop through the forest at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. The trail follows the floodplain of the Little Maumelle River.  There are two entrances and we entered by the playground. There is a large parking lot next to the trail with many spaces and this is also where the public restrooms are located. Throughout the trail are signs explaining the wildlife you may encounter. My toddler enjoyed finding the signs. It was a little like Where’s Waldo to us! There are massive, beautiful bald cypress trees that are over 500 years old! This trail is perfect for a quick, easy hike with a stroller!
