Lake Julian Park is set on the banks of the 300 acre Lake Julian, which acts as the cooling lake for the power plant. Once you get past the giant plant looming on the other side of the bank it is well worth the visit! A large pirate ship-themed playground is a definite favorite for kids of all ages. Semi shaded, tons of swings, a rope climbing structure, plenty of things that spin and many more fun elements can be found on the playground making it easy to spend hours here! There is also a smaller fenced-in playground perfect for the younger crowd.

100’s of Ducks occupy the banks and meander throughout the shaded picnic tables. Feeders are set up in 2 locations and for .25cents you can get a handful of food to feed them, always a hit! The county offers water trike and paddleboat rentals by the hour, and there is a boat launch if you choose to bring your own kayaks or a canoe. There is a fishing dock, marina, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, adult exercise equipment, and walking trails throughout the property. Bathrooms can be found in a few locations and have always been relatively clean. Parking is paved and plentiful and the sidewalks make it easy access for strollers.
