playground, run

Landon Park is a recently renovated ADA accessible playground with climbing features, swings, a garden and ample space to explore.

In the heart of San Marco, one of Jacksonville’s quaintest neighborhoods, Landon Park provides space for kids to explore. It was recently renovated with new playground equipment, ADA accessibly paths and swings, and a butterfly garden. The park also has two traditional play structures, one for big kids and one for smaller kids, a unique rope climbing cube, spinner bowls, swings, and tons of shade. There is also plenty of seating and grassy space to enjoy a picnic or to relax while your kids play. The park is just a block away from the St. Johns River and makes for a quick walk to Riverfront Park to enjoy some sunset views and watch the boats, or you can walk the three blocks into San Marco Square where you can grab a coffee, a donut, or bite to eat.

There are no restrooms in the park; the closet bathroom options are European Street Café or a shop in San Marco Square. There is no traditional parking lot for Landon Park, but there is plenty of street parking available on River Road. River Road is also a very scenic neighborhood, and it makes for a great walk or scooter route with the kids.
