Make Liddle Bites Play Cafe Your Play Place on a Gray New York Day!

Whenever we find ourselves in Long Beach, our kids always want to make a detour to Liddle Bites, easily one of the most fun and imaginative indoor playspaces we’ve visited…and we’ve pretty much visited them all!

The highlight here is the life-sized “dollhouse,” a kid’s dream come true. The two-story structure has a kitchen and living room downstairs and a bedroom upstairs. No element has been forgotten; there is just-like-mommy makeup on the dresser upstairs, food and pans in the kitchen, and cleaning supplies for your little helpers.

The emphasis here is on natural and wooden toys (thankfully there’s not much here that makes a bothersome beep!), including a popular “ice cream parlor,” a ball-pit rocket ship, a construction zone with big building blocks, and a dress-up corner.

Parents of multiple kids will appreciate the selection of toys for the 1-and-younger set, too, which can sometimes be hard to find. My six-month-old has just as much fun here as her older brother!

There is a well-lit, cozy area with tables and chairs for snacks or lunch. The café sells beverages and light snacks, but feel free to order takeout from one of Long Beach’s many kid-friendly restaurants only steps away. The playspace also hosts dancing, craft workshops, and music classes, so be sure to check out the full slate of programs when you stop in!
