Linville Falls Campground offers dry camping at its finest just off of the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Linville Falls Campground is just down the road from the hiking experience to Linville Falls. This campground has 70 sites (RV and tents) plus group tent camping. Nestled along the Linville River, the sites have ample room between them and come with a picnic table and fire pit. There are two restrooms available as well as a sink washing station for dirty dishes. Since this area can have bears, every precaution is made and cleaning up around your campsite is crucial. The roads are paved which makes it perfect for bikes, scooters, skateboards, and strollers. They have an amphitheater where park rangers give a demonstration on the local wildlife and plants.
There is access to the river and this is perfect for cooling off in the summer. Linville Falls Visitor Center and hiking is just a short drive down the road and perfect for a half day or day hiking trip.
Do note they have a firewood regulation and you can only bring a heat-treated firewood bundle in its original USDA seal. Generators can be run from 8am to 8pm. Some campsites are available on a first-come basis and the status of these sites are not available online.
