Explore the greenways along the river, and River Park is a great place to start your journey.

The Little Harpeth River stretches for 16 miles across Nashville, and River Park in Brentwood is a perfect place to enjoy a couple of miles of it. River Park is right in-between the Brentwood YMCA and the Brentwood Library. The park has a basketball court, a playground, restrooms (which are well-maintained, as is the whole park which is very clean overall), one pavilion available for rent and of course the greenway. The greenway is a great place to push a stroller or ride scooters. The trails are also great for biking or running. You can also take a break and cool off by having some fun splashing in the water. The greenway is mostly shaded and runs parallel to the river. There are lots of spots along the path to hop in and out of the water, the easiest being near the parking lot, right next to the bridge that crosses over the river and another being about a mile down the greenway, where the greenway splits towards Crockett Park and Wikle Road. The water is normally shallow and accessible for kids of all ages, but it can be a little stronger after a heavy rain so be aware. Bring a net, a few water toys, water shoes, and a change of clothes and go enjoy this stretch of the River!

Bring a picnic and snacks if you want to make a day out of it.
