If you're looking for top-notch pizza to satisfy your family, MacKenzie River is the place to go.

After a long day spent exploring the beautiful Black Hills, our kiddos were hungry and exhausted. It's not always easy to find a great restaurant when you're in a new city, but we were lucky to have found this Rapid City gem. Known for their tasty, fresh ingredients, wide selection of pizzas, and their option for a delicious gluten-free pizza, there's so much to offer here. Not a pizza fan? No problem. The menu also includes a mouth-watering selection of fresh salads, wraps, burgers, and pasta. The kids' menu is awesome, with fun offerings that get any kid's heart racing, such as mini cheeseburgers, mini corndogs, and mac 'n cheese pizza. Yep, you heard that right..they offer a macaroni 'n cheese pizza for kiddos. It's pretty much every kiddo's dream! If that doesn't sound fun, I'm not sure what would. Though there's plenty of family-friendly seating in the pizzeria, we opted to take-out and eat back at our hotel. Parking is plentiful here, as well.

As for us adults, we chose the signature vegetarian MacKenzie River Pizza, featuring olive oil and garlic, spinach, roasted zucchini, mushrooms, tomatoes, mozzarella, and feta. It was delicious, and the perfect way to cap off a day of exploration.

After enjoying a delicious pizza here, head over to Dinosaur Park for the best views of the valley below.
