Madison Manor is a fun park & playground with something for everyone!
Tucked in the Madison Manor neighborhood of Arlington VA, Madison Manor Park is truly a neighborhood gem. With massive renovations completed in early 2020, Madison Manor is a park with something for everyone.
At the playground, you can find two sections - one for older kids, and one for younger kids. Half of the park caters to babies, with baby swings, a seesaw, and a small climbing area; the other half features a tire swing, a large climbing area, and a Nature Play Area. The Nature Play Area is one of our favorite features of the park - the sign reads “for future architects, engineers, builders, and dreamers” - and kids have the chance to build with sticks, logs, and stumps. We love building tee-pees and more.
The other part of the park features a basketball court, tennis courts, a skateboard area, soccer fields, and a baseball field. There is also a covered pavilion for picnics, playtime, or events. Check the Arlington Country Park & Recs website for sponsored events, including the Arlington Arts Bus, R.E.A.D. book fairs, and more.
You can also find a bathroom (closed November 15-March 15 for winter, per Arlington Country) and drinking fountains.
Located near mile marker 4.5 off of the Washington & Old Dominion Trail, runners, bikers, and walkers alike will love this playground.
When you're done playing, stop by South Block in Arlington, near East Falls Church metro, for a Warrior Bowl or Super Green Smoothie.
