Take in the Portland views all aboard!!

Do you have a train lover in your house? If so, take them for a ride on the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad, a historic two-foot gauge railroad now in use for the education and enjoyment of the public. 

The train is based on the waterfront in downtown Portland and operates a relaxing 35-minute ride for all ages. The train travels a 3-mile round trip drive along the Eastern Promenade of Portland, offering gorgeous views of Casco Bay. Staff is always on board to enthusiastically provide historical information both about the train and the city of Portland. Tickets are available at the station.

After your train ride, check out all that downtown Portland has to offer -- ranging from waterfront activities to first-class restaurants and cafes just steps from the train depot.

From Thanksgiving to Christmas, the train turns into the Holiday Express and only provides reserved tickets on a "Polar Express"-like holiday ride, complete with hot chocolate and a visit from Santa.

Due to COVID-19, masks are mandatory on the train.
