"Spark imagination, discovery and learning through play."

That’s the mission of this enriching kids' museum in the heart of downtown Raleigh. With over 15 engaging exhibits this is a great activity for the younger kids on a rainy day in town. Each exhibit has hands-on activities that encourage kids to express themselves and get involved with their surroundings. They are set up in different sections ranging from “Hit the Trail” where kids can pretend to experience camping, kayaking and other outdoor adventures, inside, to “Moneypalooza” where kids can have their own pizzeria or lemonade stand and figure out how to “sell it.”

The exhibit I found most interesting was the kid-sized version of the Raleigh community, replicated with several stations presented by different grocers, news stations, and healthcare providers in town. Each station was filled with costumes and supplies so kids can pretend the town is theirs!

The Marbles campus also has an IMAX theater and cafeteria and is an easy way to fill an entire day with educational play.
