McPherson Park has a beautiful view of the San Francisco peaks, horseshoe courts, a disc golf course, and a wonderful playground.

McPherson Park is a great park that I don't believe gets the love it deserves. Why? I believe this neighborhood park is best known for its horseshoe courts and disc golf course. Located in the ice skating rink parking lot is a great fenced-in playground.

I emphasize fenced-in because sometimes you need a place to let the little ones play and roam free without constant fear of them running into the parking lot or off into the woods. This park can be a nice break for parents, too!

There is enough room for bigger kids to roam and run, and the playground is the perfect size for toddlers and elementary school kiddos. There are also plenty of swings to share for all different ages.

The disc-golf course is the main reason many people come to McPherson Park, and it really is a great place to throw a few holes. The course can be fairly difficult, but they will change it up periodically, so be sure to try it a few times! There are also three tennis courts that are well-maintained, have a soft carpeted texture, and are an extremely popular amenity here.

There are also some great hiking trails you can get to from here if you are in the mood for a longer outing. Also, be sure to check out the ice skating rink already mentioned. It really turns a short park trip into a full-day adventure!

Please be aware that the only restrooms available are portable ones.
