Mukilteo Lighthouse Park and Playground is a great spot for gorgeous scenery, play, and exploring.

This park is located north of Seattle on the coast of the Puget Sound. Easily accessible with its long walkway along the water, you wont have to hunt for parking on your way as there is a very large lot feet from the beach, path, and playground. The playground has cool, modern climbing structures, and wood chip surfacing. You can see great views of the water from the playground as well. Mukilteo is a small port town where you can hop on the ferry to Whidbey Island, or launch your own boat. Depending on the water conditions this is also a great spot for kayaks, and paddle boarding.

You’ll often see wedding, and prom photos being taken in this picturesque spot, particularly at sunset. The setting colors as a backdrop to the glowing light house, (which is open for tours) and ferries crossing is a scene not to be missed. The playground is great for kids of all ages, and you can easy find a place to sit nearby while they run and play. There are also clean bathrooms conveniently next to the playground, and an area covered by an overhang to hide from rain or sun. Within walking distance from the park is the ferry port, and great food spots like the Diamond Knot Brewery, and Ivars Fish and Chips. The Brewery also has a seasonal window on the sidewalk where they serve ice cream.
