Everyone can learn something at the National Geographic Museum!

The National Geographic Museum hosts informative, rotating exhibits all year-round focusing on "bold people and transformative ideas in the fields of exploration, scientific research, storytelling, and education."  Usually at least one of the two or three exhibits at any given time is family-friendly.  The general admission ticket to the museum allows access to all of the current exhibitions.  This museum is probably most appreciated by slightly older children (above age 5), but there is something here for all ages.

The closest metro is Farragut North.
