Spend the day sliding, climbing, splashing, or paddling at Navarre Park!

Situated east of Pensacola, the Navarre Beach area offers visitors miles of powder-white beaches and beautiful emerald waters. It also has several public access points to the Santa Rosa Sound for boating and water recreation. For active families looking for ways to spend time outdoors and off the beach, Navarre offers plenty of conveniently located parks and greenspace for play.

Located right on Navarre Parkway at the foot of the Navarre Beach bridge, Navarre Park is a popular play spot for locals and visitors alike. For families looking for an off-the-beach activity that allows kids to play outdoors and blow off some energy, the Navarre Park is a perfect choice. The waterfront park just underwent a major redevelopment. Enhancements to the park include an interactive splash pad, ADA accessible restroom facilities, playgrounds for two age groups, a plaza with shade structures, as well as expanded parking. And don’t forget about the sandy beach area and water access.

The new play area is located to the east of the Visitors Information Center. It includes two large play areas with slides and climbing structures of multiple heights as well as monkey bars and tunnels. There is also a set of swings providing an assortment of standard saddle swings, a full support ADA swing, and a Mommy and Me swing.

In addition to the play area, there is also a brand-new splash pad that operates seasonally May-September. Children will love splashing through the colorful sprinklers while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and views of the Santa Rosa Sound.

The Navarre Park also offers public access to the Santa Rosa Sound. The sound is great for a variety of water activities due to its calm waters. Visitors can enjoy paddleboarding, kayaking and fishing. The small sandy beach area is nice for sunbathing and picnics and younger children can enjoy sand play as well.

There is a short paved walking trail in the park that runs along the water with benches scattered along the way. Bring the scooters along and take a quick ride or short stroll on the trail after an afternoon of play. This park is a fantastic spot to watch the boats go by or catch a summer sunset. You may even spot a dolphin or two playing around in the water.

Restrooms are available on both the east and west ends of the park for visitors. There are a few covered picnic tables located within the park as well as two pavilions. The pavilions may be reserved through the Santa Rosa County website.

While there are some shaded areas within the park, the Florida sun is very strong so sunscreen is highly recommended. The Navarre Beach area supports the local Leave No Trace initiative and encourages everyone to help keep parks clean. Please remember to collect any garbage and leave only your footprints behind when visiting.
