Nockamixon State Park

Nockamixon, located in Northern Bucks County about an hour and half north of Philadephia, is a great choice for a day trip or a weekend. Happy active families will be pleased to find a variety of activities.  Perfect spot for a day trip or overnight visit.  The park offers 3 miles of hiking trails, 2.8 miles of biking trail and 20 miles of equestrian trails.  What sets this park apart are the variety of boating opportunities from sailboats, pontoon boats to kayaks and canoes, rentals available or bring your own.  The lake is stocked with a variety of fish for the anglers in your group.  Picnic tables are scattered throughout the park, some with grills and are available first come first served basis. I suggest bringing food as the park is in a beautiful but remote area.  Cabins are available for rental year round and there is a playground near the cabin area.  Park is open from dawn to dusk except for the fishing pier, marina and cabin area.
