The Nook Mosaic is a great place for kids to play and socialize while you relax.

With an airy, clean and modern feel, this indoor play destination is a fun and safe space for babies, toddlers and their caregivers to play and interact. It also serves as a serene space where adults can also manage to do little work while their more self-sufficient little ones explore the many educational opportunities for healthy and fun stimulation.

The play regions are overall clearly defined in the long narrow room, so children can move from one station to another with ease while still remaining within sight. The space is designed for every stage from 0-5, and the toys available are carefully selected, regularly rotated and in the event there is a particular favorite for your little one, they are also available in the shop for purchase. This is a great place to buy a gift because the items you will find would stand out from the typical offerings in the big box stores.

In addition to toys, there are arts and craft tables and additional interactive play opportunities - costumes are popular for imaginative play at Nook locations.

Reservations are encouraged for open play, especially on weekends and holidays, as well as the programs, classes, and workshops, which are carefully curated and engaging. Siblings over 5 are welcome, but parents and caregivers are asked to ensure priority for the younger guests.

They welcome private events and parties, prices are listed on the website, and they also have a location in the Ballston neighborhood of Arlington as well as in Bethesda.

The strict COVID restrictions and safety protocol were implemented during the pandemic era, and while Nook is already a very clean place they upped their game further with systematic sanitization and other staff and guest safety requirements. There are now more options for private space rental and other safe ideas for playing safe, so check the website for more information.

If you're looking for food after your playtime,  Lost Dog Cafe is right next door. Their lunches are reliably delicious, especially their pizzas. Moby Dick House of Kabob is also very close and is always a treat.
