Looking for a place to swim?
Our favorite beach was recommended as the favorite of the locals, and we could see immediately why. It is a picturesque, long stretch of beach perfect for kids. The access point has a very long sand bar great for laid back, safe play as well as warmer water temperatures. Like every beach in the area, the water is unbelievably turquoise, you'll feel like you are in the Carribean.
If you'd rather visit a beach on the Utah side, stop at Garden City Park and Beach. Most of the nearby restaurants are also in Garden City, about 25 minutes car ride, but we recommend Ruca's as a great place to grab sandwiches or milkshakes for a day on the beach. Bear Lake Rentals is also in that direction. It's a great place to pick up paddleboards or kayaks to take with you to the beach!
The entrance fee is $5 and the beach is located approximately fifteen minutes from Garden City. There are even restrooms nearby.
