An indoor and outdoor museum with widespread appeal.

The NCMA not only offers several different and noteworthy exhibitions throughout the year but is also home to an outdoor museum park! It has miles of recreational trails, contemporary gardens and a pond that are surrounded by beautiful art installations from local and international artists.

Its grounds are connected to the greenway as well as wooded trails making it a destination recreation spot for biking, jogging and hiking all while experiencing works of art directly in nature. The park's art is a collaboration of artists and environmental scientists who create site-specific art to engage patrons with art in the natural world. This is a great place to enjoy a picnic and explore numerous trails with scenery that goes unmatched! The art museum is a go-to for a walk with friends and family but also a site that includes a huge gallery that is home to ticketed exhibitions.

Not only does the gallery have ticketed tours such as its current Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Mexican Modernism exhibit, there is also a free collection you can browse through throughout the year. The museum has an indoor cinema with films related to the featured exhibition at the time. There is also a restaurant and an outdoor theater which holds concerts.
