North Michigan Playground in D.C is an enclosed playground and swing area adjacent to a rec center. 

This playground has a convenient parking lot and adjacent areas for picnicking or just sitting to get some work done while the kids play. You have good visibility and there are baby swings in addition to the regular swings.

There are two primary structures for different age sets. A couple of additional toys are showing their age, but they still serve a fun purpose - including a four-seat see-saw. Either way, any age child can have fun at this playground and rec center. 

There is ample green space outside the fence if older kids want to kick around a ball. There are also athletic fields on the property and there is a walking trail. Bring a frisbee, baseball, or football to play on the baseball field and get a big game of kickball going. There is a picnic area perfect for bringing sack lunch or snacks while the kids run and play. 

If the weather is poor or you would like to explore inside the rec center, there are several amentities to look into. There is a computer lab, game room, an indoor basketball court and gym, a multi-purpose room, a weight room, and a senior room. 

Restrooms are available in the Recreation Center when it is open. The rec center is open Monday through Friday 10am to 9pm and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. The rec center is closed on sundays. If you would like to rent or reserve a field or room in the park or rec room, you can email customer service.
