Enjoy a Tennesse train ride to the North Pole!

Every Winter, the Tennesse Central Railroad Museum hosts a Christmas train ride called the North Pole Express Santa Excursion. While it doesn’t quite make it all the way up to the North Pole, it does travel 60 minutes east towards Lebanon and then makes the journey back to Nashville. It’s a non-stop, Christmas themed train ride, perfect for any train-loving kid or adult.

While journeying towards the North Pole (aka. Lebanon), you will have a visit from Santa and his elves, hear from Carolers, and read a Christmas story. The Christmas team makes its way through the train cars so depending on where you are seated, this may be at the beginning, middle, or end of your journey. These activities don’t last long, so I recommend bringing some of your own Christmas books, songs, or friends. While we loved going as a family, I think this trip is best done with a group of friends and their kids, matching Christmas pajamas, and some extra Christmas fun (such as games or books). Refreshments are available to purchase in the dining car and there are restrooms available on the train.

Tickets book quickly, so reserve yours today on their website. There are different seating options at varying prices. Rides begin on Saturday, November 21st and the last train leaves December 19th.
