Little ones will enjoy Noyes Recreation Center & Playground in the Northeast.

Noyes is a small playground right along Franklin Street, NE that is great for kids. It's a great place to get some fresh air outdoors with the family, as there are swings, a slide, and climbing structures, as well as adult exercise equipment just outside the enclosed play area.

Also on site is a green space for play, perfect for throwing a frisbee or practicing cartwheels, and community gardens. The only shade is under the picnic pavilion. The DC Department of Parks and Recreation renovated Noyes Park in 2013 to be updated and modern for all to enjoy. The updates included a playground suitable for all-ages, adult fitness equipment, a communicaty garden, grills, fencing, a walking path, and more. This spot could be a fun option for you to get some exercise while your little ones play around!

There are no bathrooms, few shops in the immediate area, and only street parking. However, Noyes does offer a nice, flat figure 8 track that is perfect for young kids who are learning to ride a scooter or bike.

The Right Proper Brewing Company's Brookland Tasting Room is steps away and the restaurant Menomale is a very short distance in the opposite direction. The delicious Primrose, a French-American bistro, is also nearby, 0.2 miles up 12th Street. Langdon Park Recreation Center and Playground is under a mile to the east and Turkey Thicket and The Franciscan Monastery one mile north of Noyes if you want to experience another, larger playground also in the area.
