Pack a picnic and wait for trains!
Your train-loving kids will enjoy a quick stop at the Old Red Caboose in Thompson Station. It’s located near the replica depot station, just past Sarah Benson Park and across the tracks from Preservation Park. While this is not a stand-alone activity, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic after playing at Sarah Benson Park or enjoying a hike in Preservation Park. There is also an old wagon replica and has plenty of shade for warm days. My son loved waiting for trains and exploring the caboose post-hike!
