Olive Shores Park is a great hike up to take in the beautiful views.
Olive Shores Park is known for its quiet beach along Lake Michigan and the beautiful views from the stair climb to get to the water's edge. Because of the number of stairs to climb, this beach doesn't see as many visitors as a state park would. That said, it's worth every step for that exact reason - you get to enjoy a less crowded beach and quieter time with your family.
The park has clean flushing toilets by the parking lot, but be warned, facilities are not located on the beach and you'll need to climb the stairs back up and over the beautiful dune to get back to the restrooms. However, it only takes a few minutes and the family time and peace of Lake Michigan is worth the hike to get to it!
