Where to get your exercise in JH.

Although our forte here at happyly is to keep you up to date on all of the kid-friendly activities here in Jackson, we also recognize the fact that sometimes, just sometimes, we need to step away from the kiddos to recharge, whether it be through a personal training session, group class, or solo spree. This big, beautiful life can become a sensory overload rather quickly, and having a safe and comfortable space to unwind, de-stress, recalibrate, and challenge yourself is essential to everyone’s sanity. In Jackson, there are endless trails, mountains, and lakes to be active on, but sometimes, all we need is a gym. Whether you want to start your day with a morning flow, end your day with an exciting spin class, or take some time to hit the weights, Jackson has a little bit of everything.

Yoga

Our favorite yoga studio in Jackson is Inversion. We love the space, the class options, the teachers, and the general vibe of the studio.

Swimming

For swimming laps, your best option is the Teton County Recreation Center. Check the schedule to figure out when the lanes are available. Bring the rest of the family with you to play in the kiddie pool and on the water slides!

Boxing

We haven’t personally been yet, but I’ve heard amazing things about their boxing classes!

Crossfit

Looking for some high-intensity interval training and some energetic team energy? Look no further than Gym 22.

Spin/Rowing

Get a little cycle or row in at this awesome gym. Another great HIIT option is the Shockwave class. They’re my favorite!

Gyms

Located in the Westbank Center in Wilson, equidistant to town and Teton Village. My personal favorite gym due to it's size, indoor and outdoor hot tubs, sauna, pool, and class options.

The best option if you're looking to stay in town and have access to free weights, TRX, machines, and some classes.

White Buffalo Club  A 24-hour fitness center. Quaint.

Pursue Movement Studio Various classes in a beautiful studio. They are in the process of moving locations so they can offer a more versatile exercise experience and 24/7 access.

Emily Coleman
Emily Coleman is a Jersey girl born and raised who caught the outdoor bug upon moving to Vermont to pursue a degree in Adventure Education and Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College. She spent most of her years before college deeply entrenched in the world of competitive cheerleading before discovering a passion for outdoor sports including mountain biking, white water kayaking, bikepacking, backpacking, slacklining, rock climbing, and skiing. Having been surrounded by children her entire life in her mother's daycare, she always had a strong affinity for kids. She moved to the mountains of Jackson Hole after graduating to coach for the local Kayak Club during the summers and nanny in the winters. Becoming a part of the Happy Active Family team felt like the perfect collision of her passion for building strong community bonds and encouraging an outdoor lifestyle.
