A wonderful activity that nurtures a love of nature and a spirit of adventure.

The Outdoor Youth Adventures program at Lone Mountain Ranch is fantastic for kids.  My girls attended for 5 days this summer and had a blast.  The counselors were very kind and attentive.  Your kids will spend all day outside and came home exhausted after doing activities like creating hiking sticks, ropes course, pony rides (under 6), horse rides (over 6), fort building.  They also visit the local community park and Ousel Falls.  If you are staying at the ranch, this program is typically included.  However, local families are the majority in the camp.  It's a great way for parents to adventure on their own during the day.  We loved it because we were able to drop the girls off between 9-9:30, eat lunch together at 12 as a family, and then pick the girls up after afternoon activities at 4.  (note: if parents have a full day activity, they do not have to eat lunch with the kids).

This program builds confidence through outdoor recreation, develops an appreciation for nature, and, most of all, gives young people (aged 3-14) the space to roam, have fun, and connect with each other. Kind and energetic staff will lead kids through a variety of experiences geared to entertain and challenge all age groups. (available June-August)"
