Pamela park is a home run in so many ways!

The kids and I all loved this park right when we first saw it. First off, it has a great location, tucked away from the main road, but really close to tons of shops and restaurants in the area. Yet, once you turn the corner and see the park, you feel like you're away from the crowd.

There are so many options here for the warmer months, including soccer fields, batting cages, baseball fields, and tennis courts. In the winter, this park features an outdoor ice rink (cue the adorable childhood memories!). There's a really nice, flat, paved walking trail that winds through this large 62-acre park, making it a great option for parents and caregivers toting a stroller, and we saw more than a few parents walking the path with a stroller during our visit.

The playground here was awesome, and the kids were quite happy to play here for some time. The equipment was all on the newer side, and it had a huge offering of different activities. It had the usual slides, steps, stairs, swings, and climbing features, and some other fun features thrown in. There was the unique feature of different human and animal footprints built into the playground equipment, and we talked about who made each one. This was fun. There was a tire swing, which was a huge hit, of course. It also had a fireman's pole, which had the girls squealing with delight! We spent some time playing "firemen" and mommy would say there was a fire and that I needed the firemen and ladies to come down the pole to put out the fire. Someone had to be the driver of the fire truck, and someone had to put out the fire with the hose. It was all quite fun and made me feel like a kid again. There were also some fun crawling tunnels, and what was really special about these was that they curved, one atop the other, so the girls had a blast sliding down both of them on their bellies. I *may* have tried it myself, and let me just say, wow, that was awesome!

We loved this park and would highly recommend a stop here. After enjoying Pamela Park, head over to Yo Yo Donuts in nearby Minnetonka for a sweet treat.
